Nope, just the way I like to chop my vocals.
I LOVE the quiet atmospheric parts. Really really great mixing
The vibes are indeed good and the mixing is indeed bad lol (thx for the scout bro)
Thank you for the comment and you're welcome!
Such an emotional ending and overall vibe, I hope you realize you're a heart breaker

It's pretty much just the same melodic idea repeating over and over (which actually works for the drums in my opinion, makes them hypnotic and chill like you're going for 😄).
My main advice to fix the repetitiveness would be to just play around with more little ideas, and then try to fit them together in different ways, see how they flow from one to the next. The longest song I ever wrote came from just coming up with a bunch of little ideas not knowing how they would fit together in the end, then as I worked on them I would think "wait a minute, this would sound cool after this part, or leading up to this". After a while, a structure started to take shape, and after some clean up everything had it's own place in the whole!
The whole creative process is essentially just playing anyways, experimenting, tweaking, seeing what will happen if you try different things. If you need ideas and material for a song, just start playing with your software! That's what helps me the most at least 😅.
Something that's helped me grow as an artist more than anything is just listening to a bunch of different music, as much as possible. That doesn't mean sitting down and forcing yourself to sit through songs you don't care about though, you need to find music which you fall in love with, songs and albums you can't help but play on repeat. This will help you develop your personal taste, which is how we judge musical ideas as we work on them.
My final note is on something called 'production' (Im not trying to be condescending, I just get the impression that you're pretty young and might not know about certain stuff): when you write a song, you can produce it a bunch of different ways with different instruments, sound effects, vocal filters, all these little details. I would encourage you to experiment as much as possible with the software you're using, and see all the different types of sounds you can make.
A good exercise to improve production skills is to listen to a song you like, and then try and replicate it as closely as you can. This is another great way to learn how to make the kinds of songs you want to make, because it forces you to solve problems.
I've learned most of what I know from first experimenting, just trying to make interesting weird noises and little song ideas, and then trying to replicate other people's music. If you have their music playing so you can study it while you work, that would be best.
This was great! The ending when the drums come in in particular really sells the whole thing. Very epic, in the non ironic sense lol
I think the progression up to that point, however, was pretty uneventful, and I fear impatient people missing out on the climax. If there was stronger vibes/more interesting atmosphere in that lead up, then I think it would stand stronger, but as it is, if you cut out the ending, then everything you to that point loses a lot of its purpose and value. If the ending wasn't what it is then the first two thirds would make less sense is what I'm trying to say.
thanks a lot, i totally see what you mean and yeah i could've definetely made it more interesting but it being so long and largely uneventful is kinda what i was going for, probably should've been a bit less though i totally agree - i'm glad you like the 2nd part so much, it's also my fav lol
I like the glitteriness of that vinyl type sound and the bit crushed kind of tone. Very otherworldly.
Feels more like a showcase of sounds than a full song, and needs stronger structure and progression imo
Fun loop! I didn't feel like I got why it was looping so quick till I saw the cutscene tag 😅 now I envision it as like menu music
So great on so many levels! So much personality! Great structure/progression!
Sounds like Muse
I WISH!!! But thanks for that huge compliment!!
I make music. I want to make music for games
